Auditions “Anything Goes”

Will-Joliet Bicentennial Park Inc. will be holding open auditions at the park’s indoor theatre

May 7 & 8, 2017   at 7:30 pm 

In search of males and females, mostly young adult and older. Few children parts. Be prepared for cold readings. Prepare 16 bars of music not from the show. Must bring music on CD or piano sheet music in correct key. Be prepared to move for short dance combo-tap. Call backs are Tuesday, May 9 at 7:00 pm. Shows will be June 16, 17, 23, 24 & 25, 2017, directed by Jenn Szynal and produced by the nonprofit Will-Joliet Bicentennial Park, Inc..

Synopsis

The S. S. American is sailing between New York and England with a comically colorful assemblage of passengers: Reno Sweeney, a popular nightclub singer and former evangelist, her pal Billy Crocker, a lovelorn Wall Street broker who has come aboard to try to win the favor of his beloved Hope Harcourt (who is engaged to another passenger, Sir Evelyn Oakleigh), and a second-rate conman named Moonface Martin, aka “Public Enemy #13.” Song, dance, and farcical antics ensue as Reno and Moonface try to help Billy win the love of his life.
