For all those budding actors, including those who might like to be a part or the Park’s gnome cast, our youth drama classes are a great introduction!
Held on six Saturdays, the indoor theatre is a great place for children to exercise their creativity during the winter. Open to all levels of interest for those in 1st to 12th grade, the students will learn improvisation to script work as the work on a short skit to perform on the last Saturday.
Director Lori Carmine easily adapts the material to the various theatre experience each child may already have, so all feelwelcome. The class is essential for those youth interested in trying out for the Park’s annual “Festival of the Gnomes.” Lori, also a long-time director for the Park’s gnome show, is able to observe and give instruction on what makes a great gnome. The drama class is the first place looked at when openings become available.
