October 15 & 16 (12-6 pm).
Hall-On-Wheels” brings Halloween to Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park on Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16. The FREE outdoor display of decorated vehicles will be on display from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm each day. Vehicles will line the street leading up to the indoor theatre, where the “Spirit of All Hallows Eve” is playing twice a day. Live music will be playing on the bandshell, food, sweets and seasonal brews will also be available.
SPOT:
Those interested in displaying their decorated car, truck, bike or hearse should reserve their FREE spot by calling the park office (815-724-3761) and plan to arrive between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16.
SHOW:
“The Spirit of All Hallows Eve” indoor theatre shows are Saturday, October 15 (2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.) and Sunday, October 16 (1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.). Show ticktes are $5 (cash or check). Halloween legends and lore come to life, from the rise of Egyptian mummies, to Celtic druids and fairies to superstitions surrounding witches in the New England colonies. The mystic drama, touched with a dose of humor, weaves several stories together the whole family will enjoy. (Flyer below.)
