Rock our nation’s birthday with the free Independence Celebration
at Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park (201 West Jefferson Street, Joliet) on Wednesday, July 3 from 6:00-10:00 pm. Rock in the evening with three bands leading up to the 9:30 pm fireworks. Best place to see them – in a beautiful park setting along the waterway downtown Joliet. Enjoy food from a variety of vendors, along with a beer and wine tent north and south of Jefferson Street. Bring blankets and chairs for grass seating. Parking is free around the park. Get there early to get the best spot. Stroll the grounds for historic Joliet sites, visit the butterfly murals on the main building by the riverwalk and enjoy scenic views of downtown Joliet along the river. Please note: NO outside alcohol, NO pets and NO vendors without park permits.
