SPOKEN FOUR, the hit, high-energy band, is coming to Bicentennial Park!

They are July’s special feature concert and will be the only act of the evening. When you hear SPOKEN FOUR perform, you’ll know why! They are a part of Maggie Speaks, one of the best live bands in Chicago.

Don’t miss this talent group that will make you want to get up and dance! SPOKEN FOUR covers a wide range of tunes from the 50’s to the top 40, and truly enjoy interacting with their audiences. Just check out their Facebook page.

SPOKEN FOUR has a wonderful following and have ‘ve been playing concerts from Glencoe to Geneva to Romeoville…now Bicentennial Park. Welcome to all the SPOKEN FOUR fans!

Kick-off our Nation’s  birthday early!!! Join us Saturday, July 2 this year, as this favorite event returns to the riverfront downtown Joliet 6:00 pm-10:30 pm.

  • The event is FREE!
  • Music will be on the pavilion. Bring blankets & chairs for lawn seating. You may not bring in pets or alcohol.
  • 6:00 – 7:30  pm HOT MESS
    featuring Joliet Mayor Bob O’Dekirk on drums & vocals!
  • 8:00 – 10:30 pm  JUNKYARD DAWGS
  • 9:30 pm                FIREWORKS
  •  Check out food vendors and games!
  • Beer, wine and pop available for purchase.
  • This is a great FAMILY FRIENDLY celebration on the river.
  • You can also take the historic walk in the park before or during the concert.  There are historical markers in the park depicting life along the river.

Join the new ARTISTS’ ENCLAVE at “Concerts On The Hill” June 2-Sept 1, 2016

Calling all artists, crafters, upcyclers & such to chill, create and even sell their creative work. Open to all ages!

IF YOU MAKE IT OR TEACH IT…BRING IT!

Enjoy the new ARTISTS’ ENCLAVE area during “Concerts On The Hill” every Thursday from June 2 through September 1, 2016. The free concerts begin at 6:30 pm and end approximately 8:30 pm, as will the artists’ area next to the concert hill.

All ages are invited to come chill, create and even sell their own creative works on the lawn. Come relax in the beautiful park setting, be inspired by the music (3 special concerts added!), try the tasty concessions available and enjoy the company of other creative folks.

1. CHILL & CREATE – FREE!pic - card making

We invite all ages to bring their own craft/art/upcycling project to work on in the beautiful park setting. Long tables dressed in colorful tablecloths await you!  A great place for friends to meet and relax while working on a favorite project brought from home. Hey, even glitter is okay here…we’re outdoors!

FREE and NO FORM REQUIRED for the community tables (no selling). Just come with your project and create!

2. CHILL, CREATE & SELL – $5 / $10 EACH WEEKpic - crocheting

We invite all ages to bring their your own craft/art/upcycled projects to sell! You’re even welcome to sell mini-lessons or mini-projects to complete at the concert. Be creative! If you have a creative/artistic skill — such as painting, drawing, card designing, crocheting, photography, upcycling, etc. — bring it! There are a lot of fun ideas on the web. You bring the materials, set your fee, show ’em how to do it and they have something neat to take home! Keep in mind we have audience members of all ages, too. You will be given a minimum of 10’x10′ area to set-up and design — have fun with your space! We supply the grassy spot, you supply the rest. Bring your own tables, tents, chairs, display pieces, etc. for selling your work.  If you need more space, we’re happy to accommodate. Unloading from vehicles is be complete by 5:00 pm. Concert begins at 6:30 pm.
